		<description>I actually came to this blog after seeing a video on BBC News sbout young kids growing up with Social networking sites and found this article facinating. I agree that parents are bombarded with how to do the right thing, and I think drilling can do more harm than good. I feel creativity should go hand in hand with kids learning to allow them to be inspired and impowered by their own development. 

I do think technology does help in education, but it seems to be either dull for the young kids or if its interesting it really just a game and doesn&#039;t teach the kids anything. There seems to be a big gap between the techies developing games / social networking games and the experts in the field. My kids love &quot;The Land of Me&quot; an online kids game developed by different prof of kids developmental learning. But also pulls kids away from the computer with all the offline activities they can do... but these companies seem to be few and far between...
