Guest Expert with Anti-Poverty Movement Fourth World

Poverty affects far more than someone’s spending power. It hurts physical health, social and emotional well-being, and even cognitive development in children and adults.

For decades, Fourth World – a renowned global anti-poverty organization based in France, has been fighting to give voice, dignity, and hope to people experiencing poverty through dialogues, community-building, and other long-term efforts.

On June 1, I will be a guest expert at one of Fourth World’s “People’s Universities“, an ongoing event held in cities around the world. The University brings activists (people in poverty), allies, and others in the community together to discuss important topics of the day.

The topic will be social media and technology, a key issue for all of us but particularly for a sector who may not have the resources to protect their children, guard their family’s privacy, and gain deeper perspectives on the opportunities and the dangers of a digital age.
