What is a spirituality of work in an age of reactivity, automation, and acceleration? How can we preserve our humanity and strive to think at our highest cognitive potential in an age of snap judgment? Designed to explore issues that impact the lived experience of everyday life from theological, religious, spiritual, ethical, and humanitarian perspectives, the Interfaith Lectures at the venerable Chautauqua Institution attracts listeners in the thousands. My lecture will draw from my forthcoming book on uncertainty as the gateway to good thinking in an age of snap judgment as well as my research for new updated edition of Distracted, to be published in fall 2018.
